Alderman Helene Larocque, being a huge supporter of communities was thrilled to help provide the funding for the North of McKnight Multicultural Festival of $7000.00 from the Council Strategic Initiative Fund from the Ward 3 allotment. Alderman Helene Larocque, also provided a Summer Student from her office to lead up the event’s planning. Communities North of Mcknight, and the North of Mcknight Resource Center participated in organizing the event. With the communities groups participation, the showcase of the fair, the entertainment, and the great food, this event was a huge success, by bringing over 1000 residents together for a fun filled day. Another group entertains the audience with their cultural dancing. All of the groups who shared their talents received certificates of recognition from Alderman Helene Larocque, and a token of appreciation. Audiences were entertained by the many groups who showcased their cultural dancing. Several groups were showcasing their talents at the North of McKnight Multicultural Event.
