During the 2 day 28th Ahmadiyya Muslim Annual Convention-Western Canada Recitation from the Holy Qur’an and translation is offered. Exhibitions feature the history and teachings of Islam and Ahmadiyyat, Life of Jesus, display of Islamic literature and numerous interactive multi-media presentations are available. The objective, purpose and blessings of Jalsa Salana in the Words of the Promised Messiah, are that the “primary purpose of this convention is to enable every sincere individual to personally experience religious beliefs”. The conventions secondary benefits were to together promote mutual introduction and to strengthen ties among the community.

Alderman Helene Larocque, as Deputy Mayor was pleased to attend and bring greetings to the participants. She brings the message that circumstances in multi-cultural Canada allow us to get to know each other well, something which does not often happen in many parts of the world and that we share a belief that we need to work together to build a better world. This convergence gives us a beautiful opportunity to teach each other about our values and celebrate the commonalities among us.
