Alderman Helene Larocque stands beside Nashir Samanani, President of Calgary’s Ismaili Muslim community-Prairie Region. Calgary's Ismaili Muslim community's annual Stampede breakfast shows off their community pride and Stampede spirit. A centrepiece of their celebration is the community float featured in the Calgary Stampede Parade. The Ismaili Muslim Community each year decides which charitable organization to support and this year, Meals on Wheels were the charity of choice. The Ismaili Muslim Community-Prairie Region starts of their Stampede Breakfast with a parade of their own. Oh Canada is sung as everyone stands at the opening of the Ismaili Muslim Community-Prairie Region begins their Stampede Breakfast. The Ismaili Muslim community-Prairie Region won 2006 Calgary Stampede Parade, President’s Trophy for Best Overall Parade Entry. Ismaili Volunteer Corp were featured in the Ismaili Stampede Breakfast Parade.
