Active Healthy Kids Canada was established as a charitable organization in 1994 to advocate the importance of quality, accessible, and enjoyable physical activity participation experiences for children and youth. As a national leader in this area, Active Healthy Kids Canada provides expertise and direction to decision makers at all levels, from policy-makers to parents, in order to increase the attention given to, investment in, and effective implementation of physical activity opportunities for all Canadian children and youth. Alderman Helene Larocque participates as Deputy Mayor and helps showcase the importance of drinking milk and daily exercise for Active Healthy Kids-Canada. Alderman Helene Larocque, as Deputy Mayor takes a ride on a specially built bike for seven that will be going across Canada in front of City Hall with elementary students to demonstrate the importance of daily exercise. Alderman Helene Larocque, as Deputy Mayor, cheers elementary students with milk and discusses the importance of healthy eating and daily exercise as part of the Active Healthy Kids-Canada message.
