Students from all over Calgary came to the City Hall Atrium to learn about how they could take responsibility to reduce their ecological footsteps and be environmentally conscience. Alderman Helene Larocque was excited to be presented at the Mayor's Environmental Expo to learn about the new innovations available to Calgarians especially about efforts to reduce, resuse, and recycle. (Left to Right: Salma Nayani WR&S, Alderman Helene Larocque and Daryl Lindholm WR&S) Alderman Helene Larocque was presented with an opportunity to speak to some grade 3 students from the Heritage Christian Academy about the importance of protecting the environment. Helene taught them that even the smallest effort can make a significant change to the environment. To encourage the students to become environmentally friendly citizens, Alderman Helene Larocque presented the grade 3 students from Heritage Christian Academy with pencils to remind them of their lesson learned that day.
