The NHCA's Stampede Breakfast was a great festivity in anticipation of the Calgary Stampede. Many Ward 3 residents lined up for their free breakfast. The Fringe Festival brough live entertainment and games to the families that attended the event. Alderman Helene Larocque was most pleased to be invited to bring greetings from the City of Calgary and recognize the efforts of the NHCA in making this event such a success. Alderman Helene Larocque was also pleased to have provided the NHCA with $1000.00 in Council Strategic Initiatives Funding (CSIF) in support of this community event.
Alderman Helene Larocque takes a picture with members of the NHCA board First Vice President Chris Stewart and Second Vice President Merry Rogers. Alderman Helene Larocque joins the Calgary Stampede Caravan volunteers in serving pancakes and is more than happy to give Andy Dobie (Right) an extra pancake. Alderman Helene Larocque took time to meet with constituents and enjoyed the day with the many families that attended. Alderman Larocque was pleased to meet the Dobie family. Alderman Helene Larocque was honoured to be invited to open the first annual NHCA Fringe Festival and join in with the festivities of the day. As part of the festivities to open the first annual Fringe Festival, Alderman Helene Larocque was invited to throw a frisbee out to the crowd. Whoever was able to catch the frisbee would be presented with a prize. Alderman Helene Larocque is most impressed by the outcome of the NHCA Stampede Breakfast and Fringe Festival and is especially happy to thank the volunteers, such as Dave Ledger (Right) for making it a success. There were many different activities for children of all ages including mini-golf, face painting, etc.
